In Sri Lanka, certain university degree programmes require students to pass an aptitude or practical test in addition to achieving qualifying results in the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination. These tests assess specific skills, talents, or knowledge relevant to the chosen programme — such as creative thinking for Architecture, analytical ability for IT, or artistic talent for Fine Arts.

Each university conducts its own tests under UGC guidelines. Passing the aptitude test alone does not guarantee admission — final selection also depends on your Z-score and district quota. Apply directly to the respective university when they publish the press notice for applications.
